Creating Excuses When You Don’t Know How to Do It

At times, we may find it difficult to perform certain tasks, especially when we don’t know how to do them. However, we cannot always refuse the task with an excuse of not knowing how to do it. Therefore, it requires a skill to create excuses when we do not know how to do something.

The first step to creating excuses is to acknowledge that we do not know how to do it. This is important to avoid confusion later on. Next, try to evaluate the task and look for resources or assistance that can help you complete the task. You can seek help from more experienced colleagues or look for online resources such as tutorials or guides.

If you cannot find any help or resources that can assist you, then you can try to approach the task from a different perspective. Try to think of alternative ways to complete the task. You can research or find alternative solutions to complete the task.

However, when you choose to find alternative solutions, make sure to adhere to the task’s objectives and requirements. Do not attempt to complete the task by violating rules or not meeting the company’s standards.

Lastly, when you cannot complete the task, do not hesitate to ask for help or consult with your supervisor or colleagues. Sometimes, asking for help is not a bad action or a sign of weakness, but instead, it shows a proactive and responsible attitude.

Creating excuses when you do not know how to do something is not a good practice, but if necessary, make sure the excuses you create are polite, clear, and logical. It is also essential to always strive to improve your skills and knowledge to avoid facing the same difficulties in the future.
